Day 1: Mombasa City Tours

8.30 am, depart from “CityBlue Creekside Hotel & Suites” and drive through the city center towards the historical old town of Kibokoni where you will find the famous Fort Jesus Museum. Find out how this building was designed by the Italian architect Giovanni Battista and was built between 1593 and 1596 by the order of King Philip of Portugal to guard the old port of Mombasa. Learn everything there is to be learned about Mombasa and how it evolved.

After that, pass the Mombasa Club, Africa Hotel, Mandhry Mosque, and Government Square, entering the Old Port and continuing towards the Old Spice Market. Walk past the old colonial houses and mosques as you discover the culture and origins of the city. Stop for lunch at one of the restaurants in town, where you can enjoy 1 dish of seafood or biryani – a Swahili delicacy. After lunch, take a drive along Mama Ngina to admire the scenic views of where the Mombasa Island ends and the ocean begins. See the Likoni Ferry channel which connects the North to the South Coast, and then stop at the famous Pembe za NdovuElephant Tusk Sculptures” which can be found on the back of the local currency. Find out how this sculpture represents how Mombasa historically symbolized the gateway to the Arab ivory trade. Stop here to take photos or do a little shopping.

Later in the afternoon, head over to Haller Park in time to feed the giraffes. Discover how a barren landscape of disused limestone quarries was converted into a vibrant and diverse ecosystem of forest, grasslands, and ponds. Currently, Haller Park plays host to a variety of wildlife including hippos, giraffes, buffalos, and antelopes as well as smaller mammals and birds. The Park consists of a Game Sanctuary, Reptile Park, small demonstration Fish Farm area, Palm Garden, Crocodile pens and a giraffe viewing platform.  Choose to explore Haller Park or continue on Akamba Handicraft market, which is the local association of handicraft artisans that manages the production and sale of wooden carvings and other souvenirs in Mombasa. Day 2: full day expedition at Shimoni Wasini Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park

6 am, this morning after breakfast, depart from Diani Beach Blue Marlin Resort for 2 hours’ drive to Shimoni, from here you board a traditional sailing Dhow for Kisite Mpunguti Marine with opportunities to see Dolphins. At Kisite Mpunguti you will have a minimum of 1.5 hours snorkeling in the world’s best renowned habitat for its array of beautiful Corals and spectacular Sea fish species. After Snorkeling, you will sail to Wasini Island for seafood lunch followed by a walk around the Island with an optional board walk along the Mangrove forest. Day 3: Mombasa South Coast to Tsavo East National Park, 200 kms 4.5 hours’ drive

Depart Diani Blue Marlin Beach Resort for Tsavo East National Park. At 7.30 am, after breakfast depart from Blue Marlin Beach Resort and head to Voi Safari Lodge at Tsavo East National Park to arrive in time for lunch. After lunch you will check-in and have a short break. At 4 pm, an afternoon game drive will be conducted in this vast national park. Tsavo East National Park is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds and its popularity is due to the vast numbers of diverse wildlife that can be seen within this vast park. Day 4: Tsavo East National Park to Tsavo West National Park 105 kms 2 hours’ drive

6:30 am, a morning game drive to savor the beauty of the park. After 2 hours game drive, return to the lodge for full breakfast. 10.30 am, depart for Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch at Ngulia Safari lodge. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon game drive in this vast Park is planned with a visit to Mzima Springs for nature walk. Mzima is one of Tsavo’s most popular wildlife attractions owing to its resident populations of Nile crocodiles. Mzima’s isolation makes both species dependent on its waters: other sources are too distant for them to reach by overland travel. The hippos also sustain an entire food chain. They browse the surrounding savannah by night and return to Mzima’s pools by day, where their dung fertilizes the water’s. Tsavo West National Park covers an estimate of approximately 9,065 square kilometers. The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands and rocky ridges. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lion, leopard and hyena and a herd of over 3,500 Elephants. Day 5: Explore Tsavo West National Park

Two game drives are scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer an ideal area to search for pride of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos and wildebeests. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. It’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. Other notable features include Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption. Movie the Ghost and the Darkness was shot here. Day 6: Tsavo West National Park to Amboseli National Park 130 kms 3.5 hrs drive

7.30 am, after breakfast depart with game drive en-route to Amboseli National Park. Travel through the famous Shetani lava flows along Chyulu hills and make a stopover for photography of this great landscape. Thereafter proceed to Amboseli National Park, Amboseli is a landscape dominated everywhere by the glistening, majestic snow-cap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro – a fitting backdrop to the wild region. It is also the region where pastoral Maasai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many years. After lunch, experience an afternoon game drive at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain. Day 7: Explore Amboseli National Park with 2 game drives “AM & PM

” morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli National Park, offering the best chance to view Mount Kilimanjaro and wildlife in various habitats of Amboseli – open grassland plains, swamps and marshland. Amboseli ecosystem is home to gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, lions, Cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos among others and the presence of permanent swamp makes bird-life in Amboseli also abundant. Day 8: Amboseli National Park to Nairobi 245 kms 4.5 hours’ drivee “morning game drive”

6:30 am, pre- breakfast game drive for 2 hours and after, return for full breakfast at Amboseli Kilima Safari Camp. 11 am check out from Kilima Safari Camp and start journey by road to Nairobi to finish safari with Pal-Davis Adventures Kenya Limited.
